Himpunan Bartender Indonesia (Indonesia’s Bartenders Collective / HBI) along with The Bar Times and WET Ultra Lounge held “Bartender Speed Accuration Challenge 2018 with millions of rupiahs total grand prize. This competition is a breakthrough in the world of Indonesia’s bartenders. The bartenders strive for their speed in making a cocktail with accuracy in ingredients with good taste. The event held on Sunday of September 30th, 2018 at Wet Ultra Lounge, Legian, Bali. “Vi Ai Pi group are very supportive to the event that related to bartending which is giving a change to the youngster to build their creativity and compete so it could cast the workers that will support Bali’s tourism” said Komang Sudiarsa (Jack), the general manager of Vi Ai Pi, Wet, and Warung Pepe. There are 16 bartenders who compete in this event, they are challenged to serve a classic cocktail fast and right using building, shaking, blending, muddling, and stirring methods.
Bayu Hendra, head of HBI said, “I hope this competition held annually to shape the skills of fast bartending, consider that Bali is a huge tourism industry and minimalize customers complaint, and serve the cocktail in the right ingredients.”
Jurors for this competition are the professional bartenders, they are IB Ganda Lesmana (Professional Bartender), Agung Darmawan (Advisor HBI), Agung Bawartha (Advisor HBI). The winner of this competition are:
1st place : Kadek Ari Saputra (Kudeta)
2nd place : Putu Purna Yasa (Omnia)
3rd place : I Putu Agus Sutana (Kudeta)
4th place : Ketut Adi Darmawan (Vi Ai Pi)
